Abstract

|
Horizontal control using a skeletal anchorage expanded the non-surgical orthodontic treatment range, which brought great benefits to all patients and clinicians. Proper use of mini-screw assisted rapid palatal expansion (MARPE) in cases of transverse discrepancy can complete orthodontic treatment with better results. In this report, reasons why MARPE should be actively used for orthopedic expansion will be introduced and the therapeutic effects by orthopedic expansion will be examined through cases.
